ReallyShort.link – We make long links shorter

We make long links shorter and smarter

Yep, that’s what we do around here.

We take long cryptic-looking-and-too-long-to-fit-anywhere links, shorten them down or make them more human readable, all while adding a little bit of internet magic.

Short links? How do they work?

We do – like every other link shortening service – take a long URL, store it in a database, give it a unique ID number, and assign a short ID and/or user submitted value to use as the “identification” part of the generated URL like this:

a.reallyshort.link/[ID or custom value]

Now, for example, whenever somebody enters:

a.reallyshort.link/Joe46

they’re automatically sent off to the official website of Joe Biden.

It’s the same technology used behind the scenes at some of the “famous” short link services you probably see every day, like amzn.it, goo.gl or youtu.be.

Besides the main objective, to make long links shorter, it’s also possible to optimize the short links in a number of ways.

Do you what to shorten long links?
